My premarital counseling and education revolves around empowering couples with knowledge and tools for a strong relationship foundation and high level of emotional safety - two of the major characteristics of successful marriages. I believe getting premarital counseling - in whatever form suits you - is a wonderful investment in the future of your marriage.
I offer a four session educational and interactive course made of of the following sections:
1) Assessment and Communication Skill Building: Assess Communication, Relationship Balance, Emotional Safety and Family of Origin - as well as teach active listening, conflict resolution and educate about problematic communication styles to stay aware of.
2) Relationship Logistics: Role expectations at home, work, chores, finances, spiritual beliefs, intimacy, etc.
3) Tune Up: Explore and discuss any problematic areas revealed in previous sessions.
4) Goal Setting and Review : Discuss relationship vision as well as personal and family goals. Review previous sessions.
Some people come in with a very solid foundation, only needing clarifications and goal-setting. Others benefit from a little further exploration. If it appears as though there are deeper issues than anticipated, more sessions may be required to give you the maximum benefit. I will always work with you as efficiently as possible to complete the process in a timely manner - so you can move on to the really fun part...the wedding itself.
*Inquire about the SPECIAL DISCOUNT to those wanting to purchase the four sessions as a package in advance.
