It's suited for couples who aren't experiencing a high level of distress but are interested in remembering how to keep their relationship thriving and strong. The Marriage Counseling Refresher Course revolves around similar principles taken from my premarital program - and premarital counseling workbook - to serve as a reminder of what makes up a strong relationship foundation and how to achieve high levels of emotional safety - two of the major characteristics of successful marriages.

Relationships change over time and couples can forget basic relationship and communciation skills as well as have different goals and roles than in the beginning of their marriage. The Marriage Counseling Refresher Course allows for an opportunity to take the pulse of your marriage and make adjustments where necessary - so that you can continue to grow together - vs. apart.

I offer a three session educational and interactive course made up of the following sections:

1) Assessment and Communication Skill Building: Has your communication gone downhill throughout the marriage? Are you both happy with time spent together vs apart? How emotionally "safe" do you feel together?

2) Relationship Logistics: How are the logistics of your relationship (roles and expectations) set up and do they still work for both of you?

3) Goal Setting and Review : Are your personal, relationship and family goals still in sync?
