Lisa is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and writer. She previously was an Assistant Director in movie and TV. production living in Los Angeles - but high stress levels and a lack of passion for her work led her to rethink her path. She went back to school and received her M.A. in Counseling Psychology from National University. Lisa is a native of Marin County (Mill Valley) but began her private practice in San Diego, CA where she lived for a number of years. In 2008, she moved back to Marin to set down roots with her husband and young son.

Lisa is grateful to finally do work that has meaning to her. She balances her work life between her therapy practice and writing endeavors. She is a frequent consultant for the media and has been interviewed, quoted or has appeared in the following publications and online news sources:
