What type of therapy services do you offer?

I do individual therapy and couples counseling. I offer face-to-face and phone therapy sessions (for individual clients only).

What is your fee?

My standard fee for individual or couples therapy is $120.00 per 50 minute therapy hour. I am open to a fee reduction if this is not affordable to you at this time. Please E-mail me or call to discuss further.

My standard fee for phone therapy is $90.00 per 50 minute therapy hour and the same as above applies.

Do you take insurance?

I currently do not take insurance. Unfortunately, this means more out-of-pocket expense for the client, however, many people prefer the privacy that contracting directly with the therapist provides. With insurance, some are concerned about keeping their psychotherapy records private - which is not the case if insurance is used. Others worry that a particular diagnosis might limiting their future insurability. If you’re interested in seeing me and still would like to try to go via your insurance, check with them about their out-of-network policy. It’s possible you can receive partial reimbursement. Upon request, I’m happy to provide a monthly statement of services for you to submit.

What forms of payment do you take?

I take cash and personal checks. I can take online payments ahead of sessions via my Google Checkout or Paypal accounts (see below). I don't currently take credit cards at my office.

Will be sessions be confidential?

The therapist-client relationship is confidential but there are exceptions. I am legally bound to report child abuse and elder abuse. I am also required to report intentions to commit homicide or do grave bodily injury to another. Lastly, I am bound to break confidentiality to protect a client who is actively suicidal.

What is your cancellation policy?

I have a 24 hour cancellation policy – if you need to cancel a session, please call 24 hours prior to your scheduled session to avoid incurring a full fee charge.
